UK are an established and respected provider of dynamic real
time information systems for bus passengers and operators.
Their modular and flexible i-connex system uses advanced database
and wireless technology to gather, process and distribute
real time and historic journey and vehicle information, CCTV
images and pictorial information.
This information can be used by operators to manage their
services in real time (using a flexible and functional base
station showing location and punctuality in a number of formats),
by passengers on and off the bus (via street, other key location
and on bus displays, mobile phones and the WEB) and local
authority users.
It compliments and interfaces both ways with UTMC and UTC
systems, and can 'talk to' other RTI systems using all current
protocols.It also uses current data import formats through
its advanced data import tool which makes updating easy.
The 'infohost' reporting suite provided advanced historic
analysis of data from the system, which can include CAN bus
data, ticket machine data and data from other on bus sources
(eg accelerometers).
